Why I’m Running

I was born and raised right here. This is my hometown, and I’m proud of it. I raised my four sons here. I’ve built my career here. I’ve paid taxes here — just like you. And I believe we all deserve to know that our properties are being assessed fairly, with care, competence, and accuracy.
I never expected to run for office, but people inside the Assessor’s Office and the County approached me and encouraged me to step up — because they know I’m qualified, and they know this office needs real leadership.
I’ve spent the last 30 years working as an appraiser — first licensed, then certified. I’ve done both Fee and Mass appraisals, and I’ve served as Chief Deputy Assessor. I know this office inside and out. I also know what’s been happening over the last five years: missed properties on the roll, wasted funds, and slipping deadlines.
The Assessor’s Office isn’t a political position — it’s a technical job. It needs someone who knows what they’re doing. And I do.
I’m not running for attention. I’m running because I care — and because I know how to do this job well. I believe in service, in showing up, in telling the truth, and in doing the work. I believe in protecting taxpayers, respecting staff, and restoring integrity to this office.
And that’s exactly what I intend to do.
